Trash and restoring

How the Trash works

• Deleting is reversible for 30 days. A deleted file keeps all its versions, its comments and its sharing, so a restore brings it back exactly as it was.
• A folder goes to the Trash as one item with everything inside it. Restoring the folder brings back everything that was deleted together with it.
• After 30 days items are removed for good automatically. The column Restorable until shows the last day for each item.
• Items in the Trash do not use storage. The storage meter counts only live files. When you restore an item, it counts against the storage again.
• Each file area has its own Trash. The company Files and every project File manager have a separate Trash tab.
• You see what you could see before. The Trash lists deleted items you owned or had access to. The company owner sees every deleted item of the file area.

How to delete files and folders

1. In the file manager, right-click the file or folder and choose Delete (Изтрий). To delete several files, tick them and click Delete ({count}) (Изтрий) in the selection bar.
2. The dialog Delete (Изтриване) says what will be deleted, for example The file "{name}" will be deleted. or The folder "{name}" and the {count} items it contains will be deleted., followed by Deleted items go to the Trash and can be restored for 30 days.
3. Click Delete (Изтрий) to confirm, or Cancel (Отказ).

The owner of the item and everyone it was shared with get a notification such as {name} deleted "{file}"; several deletions on the same day are grouped. Delete appears only when you have Edit access to the item. In the selection bar, Delete ({count}) appears only when you can delete every selected file.

1. The text names the folder and how many items it contains, and reminds you that deleted items go to the Trash and can be restored for 30 days.
2. Delete (Изтрий) confirms; Cancel (Отказ) closes the dialog.

The Trash tab

The Trash (Кошче) tab of the file manager starts with the note Deleted items are kept for 30 days, then removed for good. and lists the deleted items, newest first.

Tick items to act on several at once; Select all (Избери всички) ticks the whole page. The Trash shows up to 200 items at a time; click Load more (Зареди още) to see more (Showing {count}). On a phone, each item is a card with From {folder}, deleted by {name} on {date} and restorable until {date}. An empty Trash says The trash is empty (Кошчето е празно).

How to restore a deleted item

1. Open the file manager and click the Trash (Кошче) tab.
2. Click Restore (Възстанови) in the item's row, or tick several items and click Restore ({count}).
3. A message confirms the result, for example Restored "{name}" to "{folder}".

Where the item comes back:

• To its original folder, when that folder still exists and you can still add files to it.
• To the top level of the file area, when the original folder was deleted or you no longer have Edit access to it.
• Under a new name when the original name is now taken in that folder: Restored "{name}" as "{new name}" — the name was taken.

The restored item keeps its versions, comments and sharing. A processed 3D/CAD model is viewable again at once, without new credits.

How to delete an item forever

1. Open the file manager and click the Trash (Кошче) tab.
2. Click Delete forever (Изтрий завинаги) in the item's row, or tick several items and click Delete forever ({count}).
3. The dialog Delete forever? (Изтриване завинаги?) says "{name}" will be deleted permanently. This cannot be undone.
4. Confirm. The message Deleted forever: {count} appears.

Only the item's owner or the company owner can delete it forever. For anyone else the action is not available and the Trash shows Only the item's owner or the company owner can delete it forever. If you need an item gone sooner, ask its owner or the company owner; otherwise it disappears by itself after 30 days.

1. The title Delete forever? (Изтриване завинаги?).
2. The warning text "{name}" will be deleted permanently. This cannot be undone.
3. The confirm button, which removes the item permanently.

Permissions summary

All actions that change content also need the Edit level of the File manager permission in your role.
