How to open the structure editor

1. Open the construction schedule of the BoQ.
2. Click Schedule structure (Структура на графика, gear icon) in the toolbar.
3. If the current version is Final (Финална), the dialog Edit final version (Редактиране на финална версия) asks "This version is final. Would you like to create a new draft?" Click Create draft (Създай чернова) to continue; structure changes always need a draft.

The button is disabled while you look at an older version from the history. Go to Gantt (Към Гант) takes you back to the timeline.

The two structure modes

1. The toolbar: + Category (+ Категория), + Group task (+ Групирана задача), + Add Milestone ◆ (+ Добави етапна цел ◆) and, after selecting rows, Group selected (n) (Групирай избраните).
2. The schedule tree: categories, group tasks, tasks and milestones, each with a drag handle on the left.
3. Total BOQ coverage (Общо покритие на BOQ) shows how much of the BoQ quantity is already placed in the schedule.
4. The panel BOQ Structure (preview) (КСС структура (преглед)) shows the BoQ of the same version, with search and Filters (Филтри).
5. A drag handle next to a BoQ position or category; drag it onto the left tree to link it.

The elements of a schedule

How to add categories, group tasks and milestones

1. To put the new element inside a category, click the category first. Otherwise it is added at the top level (the schedule root).
2. Click + Category (+ Категория), + Group task (+ Групирана задача) or + Add Milestone ◆ (+ Добави етапна цел ◆).
3. The element appears with a default name: "New Category" (Нова категория), "New group task" (Нова групирана задача) or "New Milestone" (Нова етапна цел). Rename it straight away.
4. For a milestone, open Edit milestone (Редактирай етапна цел) and set its name and date.

You can also right-click in the tree. The context menu, section Create (Създаване), offers Create category (Създаване на категория), Create group task (Създаване на групова задача) and, when rows are selected, Group selected tasks (Групиране на избраните задачи). Right-clicking a category creates inside it; right-clicking a task creates in its parent; right-clicking empty space creates at the root.

Success messages: "Category created successfully", "Group task created successfully", "Milestone created successfully".

1. The section Create (Създаване) of the context menu.
2. Create category (Създаване на категория) adds a category where you clicked.
3. Create group task (Създаване на групова задача) adds a group task where you clicked.

How to put BoQ positions into the schedule

1. Find the position or category in the BOQ Structure (preview) panel. Use the search bar, or Filters (Филтри) → Include categories (Включи категории) to show only some BoQ categories.
2. Drag a position by its handle onto the left tree: onto a category, into a group task, or onto empty space for the root. The message "Task added to the category" (Задачата беше добавена към категорията) confirms it.
3. To bring a whole BoQ category, drag the category (tooltip "Drag category into the schedule"). Its hierarchy is rebuilt: the category becomes a category bar, sub-categories become nested bars and each position sits under its bar.
4. To move several at once, tick the checkboxes of positions or categories in the right panel and drag one of them; all selected items move together. Large selections run as a background job.
5. Set the distribution of each new row in the left tree. A dropped position arrives with distribution Quantity (Количество) = 0, so it carries no quantity and no value until you choose, for example, Full (Пълно). See Linking the BoQ: distribution and matching.

A position whose quantity is already fully distributed cannot be dragged again; its handle is inactive. The empty tree shows the hint "Drag a task from the BOQ structure on the right to assign it directly, or add a category / milestone from the toolbar."

How to group tasks

From the schedule tree:

1. Tick two or more rows in the left tree (checkbox "Select for grouping").
2. Click Group selected (n) (Групирай избраните (n)) in the toolbar, or right-click → Group selected tasks.
3. A new group task takes the place of the first selected row and holds all selected tasks. Rename it.

From the BoQ panel:

1. Tick one or more positions or categories in the BOQ Structure (preview) panel.
2. If a category is selected on the left, the hint reads "Group the selected tasks under the selected category"; otherwise "Group the selected tasks at the schedule root".
3. Click Group tasks (n) (Групирай задачите). The new group task is named after the first selected BoQ category, if any.

How to move and reorder rows

• Drag a row by its handle ("Move structure row") above or below another row at the same level to reorder it.
• Drop it onto a category bar or a group-task bar to put it inside.
• A category can move into another category, but not into its own sub-tree. A group task cannot be dropped into another group task. A milestone only changes its position in the order and stays at the top level.
• The message "Order updated successfully" (Редът беше обновен успешно) confirms the change.

How to rename and delete

Click the pencil next to a category, group task or milestone (Edit category, Rename group task, Edit milestone). Press Enter or click outside to save, Esc to cancel. Task names come from the BoQ and cannot be edited here.

Use the trash icon to delete. Each deletion asks for confirmation:

Empty group tasks after an MS Project import

An MS Project activity without sub-tasks becomes an empty group task with the badge Needs BOQ tasks (За попълване, tooltip "Empty group — assign BOQ tasks to it"). Click Assign BOQ tasks (Добави позиции от КСС), search with "Search BOQ tasks…" (Търсене на позиции от КСС…), pick the positions, choose the Distribution (Разпределение) and click Assign (Добави).
