BuildColab User Guide

BuildColab is a construction platform where investors, general contractors and subcontractors work on the same projects: bills of quantities (BoQ) and estimating, offer requests and offers, contracts…

How this guide is organized

The guide has 14 sections. Sections 1 to 3 cover the basics: your account, your company and your projects. Sections 4 to 9 follow the work on a project in the order it usually happens, from the BoQ to the schedule. Sections 10 to 13 cover the tools you use alongside: files, task boards, meetings and BORO. Section 14 is the reference: the whole process end to end, all statuses, the glossary, troubleshooting and what is new.

Every page follows the same pattern:

  • An In short box that says what the feature is, who uses it and where it lives.
  • A table with Where (the menu path and address), Who can (the permissions and the plan) and Related pages.
  • Explanations first, then "How to …" steps with every button named exactly as on screen. The English pages give the Bulgarian label in brackets the first time, for example Send (Изпрати), because many teams run the app in Bulgarian.
  • Screenshots with numbered badges and a numbered list below that explains each badge.
  • Common questions with the problems people really run into, and links to Related pages.

The guide uses a few fixed words: offer request for what the screens call a bid request (запитване), and payment application for what the screens call a Report (Отчет). Look up any other term in the Glossary.

  5. Choose a plan, or start on Free. Answering offer requests works on Free; most project modules need a paid plan. See Subscription, plans and billing.
  6. Check the default roles, then invite your colleagues and give each one a license. See Roles and Members, invitations and licences.
  7. Add the partners you work with: subcontractors, suppliers and clients. See Partners.

Find your way by role

Ask BORO for help

BORO, the AI assistant built into BuildColab, knows this guide. Click BORO in the top bar of the app (a company must be selected) and ask in your own words, in English or Bulgarian, for example:

  • "How do I invite a colleague?"
  • "Why can't I see the Report Register on this project?"
  • "Какво означава „Приключено · заменено“ на запитването ми?"

BORO searches the guide and answers with the steps. It can also read your own data and, when you ask, prepare changes such as creating an offer request or a schedule. By default every change it proposes waits for your approval on a card, and BORO never does more than your own permissions allow. BORO replies use your company's credits. See BORO — AI assistant and Credits (BORO, file processing).
