How the credit wallet works
- One wallet per company. All members draw from the same balance. When you switch to another company, you see that company's wallet.
- Included credits. Each plan includes a number of credits per month: 10 on Free, 100 on Starter, 400 on Professional, 1,200 on Business (at the time of writing; Enterprise is fair use). At the start of every monthly window the included credits are set to the plan's allowance. Unused included credits do not carry over. On a paid plan the month starts on the same day as your billing period; on Free it follows the calendar month. When you change plan, the included credits are set to the new plan's allowance straight away.
- Purchased credits. Credit packs you buy are added on top and stay valid for 365 days from purchase.
- Spending order. BuildColab uses the included credits first, then the purchased pack that expires soonest. Expired packs no longer count.
- Balance. The balance is included plus purchased credits. Credits can be fractional: the balance shows one decimal, and very small amounts show up to four decimals so a cheap action never appears as zero.
Where you see your credits
The credit chip in the BORO panel
In the BORO panel the credit chip sits under the message field, next to the model chip (Auto). It shows a lightning icon and the balance, for example "412.6 credits". The chip turns orange when the balance falls below 50 credits and red when it reaches 0. Click the chip to open the Credits (Кредити) sheet.

The Credits (Кредити) sheet that opens from the credit chip in the BORO panel shows the balance, a Top up credits (Зареди кредити) button, the split "Included: {included} · Purchased: {topup}", and the list Credit movements (Движение на кредитите) with the last 50 movements grouped by day. Each row shows what the credits were used for, the time, the AI model where relevant, and the amount (minus for spending, plus for refills). A row that came from a BORO conversation has an arrow; click it to reopen that conversation at the reply that cost the credits. "No credit movements yet." means the company has none. Close the sheet with Esc or by clicking outside it.

The credit chip in the File manager
The File manager action bar has its own credit chip, because 3D/CAD processing is paid in credits. Hover it to see the balance; click it to open the Credit transactions (Движение на кредитите) panel with the same balance, Top up credits, the included/purchased split and the last 50 movements. Rows from background tasks carry the badge Background task (Фонова задача). When the balance is low or empty, this panel also shows "BORO cannot reply without credits. Top up or upgrade your plan." with Top up credits and Upgrade plan (Надстрой плана).

Charges for calls from connected AI tools and for meeting transcription and analysis currently appear in the list under technical names (mcp_call, meeting_transcription, meeting_analysis).
The BORO credits card
On Admin → Organization, the BORO credits (BORO кредити) card shows the Balance (Баланс) with Top up credits, a bar "{remaining} / {total} included" for this month's included credits (plus purchased credits still left), and the six most recent credit transactions. Every member can see it.

Internal helper work, such as searching, ranking results or remembering facts, is not charged. The exact rates can be adjusted by BuildColab; the transactions list always shows what was actually charged.
How to buy credits
- Click Top up credits (Зареди кредити) in the Credits sheet of the BORO panel, in the File manager credit panel, on the BORO credits card, or in the out-of-credits message. The dialog Purchase credits (Закупуване на кредити) opens: "Credits are added to your balance immediately."
- Click Buy (Купи) next to the pack you want.
- The toast "{credits} credits added" (Добавени са {credits} кредита) confirms it, and the balance updates at once.
- Each row shows the pack size and its price.
- Buy adds the pack to the company balance.

When credits run out
- BORO: BORO can start a reply as long as the balance is above zero; a reply may take the balance slightly below what it costs. At zero, BORO refuses the message and shows the banner Credits exhausted (Кредитите са изчерпани): "BORO cannot reply without credits. Top up or upgrade your plan." with Top up credits and Upgrade plan.
- Meetings: processing a recording needs enough credits up front. Without them the meeting stops with "There are not enough credits to process the recording." (Няма достатъчно кредити за обработката на записа.) and can be retried after you top up.
- 3D/CAD processing: the processing dialog shows "Not enough credits — {missing} more needed." with Buy credits (Купи кредити). With automatic processing on, a model that cannot be paid for stays unprocessed.
- Everything else in BuildColab keeps working; only these AI and processing actions stop.
If Upgrade plan in the BORO panel does not open the plans, go to Admin → Subscription and use Manage plan. A larger plan includes more credits every month; see Subscription, plans and billing.
Monthly limits in BORO settings
Apart from the balance, a company can set its own limits on BORO use in BORO Settings → Governance (Управление): a Monthly credit limit (Месечен лимит кредити; default No limit) and Requests per minute (per user). The same page shows usage today and this month. These limits work independently of the balance: BORO can stop because of a limit even when credits are left. See BORO settings, models and credits.
Common questions
Do unused monthly credits carry over to the next month?
No. Included credits are reset to the plan's allowance at the start of each monthly window. Purchased credits are different: they stay for 365 days and are used only after the included credits.
Why did a BORO reply cost more than usual?
The cost depends on how much the AI model reads and writes: long conversations, big attachments, data BORO looked up with tools and stronger models all add to it. Start a new conversation for a new topic. The exact charge of each reply is in Credit movements in the BORO panel, or in Credit transactions in the File manager.
BORO says "Credits exhausted". What can I do?
Click Top up credits and buy a pack; it is added immediately. Or move to a plan with a larger monthly allowance on Admin → Subscription.
Who pays for 3D/CAD processing of files a partner uploaded to our project?
Processing is charged to the company that owns the project's files, so only someone working for that company can start it.
Is recording a meeting charged?
No. Recording and uploading are free. Credits are charged when the recording is transcribed (by length) and analyzed.
Can I see who used the credits?
The transactions list shows what each charge was for, when it happened and which model was used, and BORO rows link to the conversation. A detailed log of BORO and connected-tool actions is in BORO Settings → Governance → Action log.
