How progress works
- Percent, not quantity. You always enter a whole percent from 0 to 100. There is no field for an executed quantity; the executed quantity is calculated as planned quantity × percent.
- Append-only. Every entry is a new record with its date and reporter. The table shows the latest value; earlier values stay in the journal.
- Independent of versions. Locking freezes the plan, not the actuals. You can report progress on a Final version without creating a draft.
- Latest entry wins. If you report on a group task and later on one of its tasks, the later entry counts for that task.
Which rows take progress
| Row | Can you enter % Done? | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Task linked to a bill of quantities (BoQ) position | Yes | The value is stored for the task. |
| Group task (Групирана задача) | Yes | The same percent is given to every task inside the group. |
| Merged task (Обединена задача) | Yes | The same percent is given to each instance below it. |
| Category (Категория) | No | Computed from the rows inside as an equal (unweighted) average of their latest percents. |
| Milestone (Етапна цел) | No | — |
Category values are recalculated in the background right after each entry, so they may update a moment later than the task you changed.
How to report progress
- Open the construction schedule. If % Done (Изп. %) is not visible, click Columns (Колони) and move it out of Hidden.
- Click the % Done cell of the task. It becomes an input with the placeholder "0–100".
- Type a whole number from 0 to 100.
- Press Enter, click the checkmark, or click outside the cell to save. Esc or the cross cancels.
- The toast "Progress updated successfully" (Изпълнението беше обновено успешно) confirms the entry. A decimal, an empty value or a number outside 0–100 is refused with "Invalid percentage (0–100)" (Невалиден процент (0–100)).
- The % Done (Изп. %) cell in edit mode.
- The checkmark saves the value; the cross cancels.
- The filled part of the bar shows the reported progress.
- Executed Value and Remaining Value recalculate from the percent.
What progress drives
| Column or element | Calculation |
|---|---|
| Executed Qty (Изп. количество) | Planned Qty × % Done |
| Executed Value (Изп. стойност) | Planned Value × % Done |
| Remaining Qty (Остатъчно количество) | Planned Qty − Executed Qty |
| Remaining Value (Остатъчна стойност) | Planned Value − Executed Value |
| Bar on the timeline | Filled from the left in proportion to % Done (legend Progress, Напредък) |
| Group task values | Sum of the value columns of the tasks inside it |
- A category row: its % Done is computed from the rows inside and cannot be typed.
- Task rows with their reported % Done.
- Executed Value (Изп. стойност) and Remaining Value (Остатъчна стойност) calculated from the percent.
Rows with distribution Manual, rows without a priced BoQ position and milestones show no quantity or value. Progress in the schedule does not create a payment application; payment applications have their own quantities. See Payment applications.
When the BoQ quantity changes
- Distribution Full: the percent is rescaled so the executed amount stays the same. Example: 50 % of 15 m³ becomes 25 % after the quantity grows to 30 m³.
- Distribution Percent or Quantity: the percent is not changed. You see "Some schedule tasks must be redistributed manually after the quantity change." Adjust those rows in the structure editor.
- Distribution Manual: nothing changes.
See Linking the BoQ: distribution and matching.
Progress history
The table shows only the latest percent of each task; there is no history screen. To see the full journal of a task — every entry with its date, who reported it and the note — ask BORO, for example "When did the slab formwork reach 50 % and who reported it?" BORO can also record progress for you, with an optional note; in the BORO panel the entry goes through an approval card by default. See What BORO can do.
Progress on a subcontractor slice
A subcontractor sees a read-only slice of the main contractor's master schedule, but it can still report % Done on its tasks there, the same way. See Publishing to subcontractors (slices).
Common questions
Can I report an executed quantity instead of a percent?
No. The schedule accepts only a whole percent. The executed quantity is calculated from it. If you know the quantity, divide it by the planned quantity of the row.
Why can't I type progress on a category?
Category progress is computed as the average of the rows inside it. Report on its tasks or group tasks.
Do I need to create a new draft to report progress on a locked schedule?
No. Progress works directly on a Final version and does not create a new version.
Why does the category value update a moment later?
The roll-up runs in the background right after your entry. Wait a moment; the page refreshes by itself.
I typed 45.5 and got "Invalid percentage (0–100)". Why?
Only whole numbers are accepted. Type 45 or 46.
